The Auditory Modeling Toolbox

The Auditory Modeling Toolbox (AMT) is a Matlab/Octave toolbox intended to serve as a common ground for reproducible research in auditory modeling.

The AMT is maintained by the ARI with contribution from many enthusiastic research groups.

The AMT is Free software, released under the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).

Features

The AMT provides models for many stages of the auditory system, ranging from HRTFs modeling the outer- and middle-ear acoustics, various cochlear filters, inner-hair cell models, binaural processing, up to speech intelligibility. The models are backed-up by publications. In addition to the models, data from experiments are included allowing to reproduce results from publications. A more detailed description of the AMT can be found here.

Documentation

The models and functions come with help messages and references included in every M-file. This documentation is also provided online in the section Documentation.

Steps required to install the AMT are provided in the documentation of the function amtstart.

Development

The AMT is always in development. The current state of the models and model stages is described here.

If you would like to contribute your model to the AMT, we are happy to help. Please contact us.
