Table of Contents of the WiDESPREaD Dataset Version 1.0 Date 2020-01-16 Issued by FAST research team at CentraleSupelec and IETR UMR CNRS 6164 License Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) The Wide Dataset of Ear Shapes and Pinna-related transfer functions (WiDESPREaD) is the result of work described in a journal article submitted to the Journal of Acoustical Society of America in October 2019. The dataset contains: - readme.txt The present readme file - dataset-history.txt A text file listing the changes made to the dataset throughout its history - guezenoc_wide_2020_PREPRINT.pdf A preprint version of the journal article mentioned above - pinna_00001.stl, ... pinna_01376.stl 1005 pinna meshes in STL format, as output by the generative ear model. The meshes are thus in correspondence with each other. - pinna_closed_00001.stl, ... pinna_closed_01376.stl The 1005 corresponding closed pinna meshes, i.e. the meshes used for the calculations of PRTFs, in STL format. - {prefix}_00001.sofa, ... {prefix}_01376.sofa, where {prefix} = 'ICO2m', 'ICO1m', 'UV2m', 'UV1m', 'UV05m' or 'UV05m'. The 1005 PRIR sets simulated using the mesh2hrtf software from the 1005 closed pinna meshes, in SOFA format. For each PRIR set, there are 6 SOFA files, each one with a different prefix that identifies the spherical measurement grid used for the calculations. The 6 different prefixes are: 'ICO2m', 'ICO1m', 'UV2m', 'UV1m', 'UV05m' and 'UV05m'. The '2m', '1m', '05m' and '02m' labels stand for the radius of the sphere: 2 meters, 1 meter, 0.5 meter and 0.2 meter, respectively. As to the 'ICO' and 'UV' parts, they stand for the type of grid: icosahedral geodesic polyhedron of frequency 256 (2562 vertices), or equiangular vertical polar grid with a resolution of 5 degrees (2522 vertices).
